We have worked with a few businesses recently that had a similar business process, with recurring invoicing of their customers, but with the need to apply variations to individual orders. Customer Standing Orders are a good place in MYOB EXO to store standard orders for each customer. MYOB EXO provides a batch process to generate Cusotmer Invoices from a selected batch of standing orders. But if there are variations required to the orders during each invoicing cycle, then it is better generate a batch or Sales orders from the Standing orders, that can be modified before generating invoices from them. MYOB EXO does not provide a process for creating Sales Orders from Standing Orders in bulk. It is possible to right-click on a Standing Order and choose to copy it to a Sales order on an individual basis. To streamline this process for our customers, we have prepared an enhancement to MYOB EXO to perform a bulk copy of Standing Orders through to Customer Orders in one step. The operator runs a Report that lists the Sales Orders that will be created (based on a given reference value), and then is prompted to cancel or proceed with the copy process. The Sales Orders would be created from the Standing Orders, and can then be ammended as required prior to invoicing. Talk to us if your business process involves recurring invoicing, with the need to regulary apply variations and additions to the invoicing between each cycle.
