Before commencing 2009/2010 payroll year your Attache payroll software version MUST be 7.01.20x. The upcoming release of Attaché 7 version 7.01.20x includes a number of important legislative and functional changes in Attaché Payroll. The legislative changes include requirements to report on salary sacrifice superannuation contributions (RESC) and changes to the salary base used to calculate HELP and SFSS repayments. As well as this, new functionality available from July 1 includes separate reporting of HELP and SFSS on pay advices and YTD figures for all pay elements. The Tax Certificate Code needs to be Union/Professional Association Fees. This is due to the requirements of individually displaying these deductions on Payment Summaries for the 2009-2010 Financial Year. RECS Setups | Payroll | Deductions | Maintain Salary Sacrifice: 
The Tax Certificate Code needs to be changed to Reportable Super Cont. (RESC) 
Setups | Payroll | Employer Contributions | Maintain A new Contribution code is required to be set up for RESC with the Contribution Category of Reportable Employer Super Cont. (RECS) 
HELP and SFSS Calculations: Masterfiles | Payroll | Employee Details | Maintain Page Down until you get to the Tax Details Screen For those Employees who have Help and SFSS Debts – although it is NOT an ATO requirement at present – Attache has added the extra option of Include RESC (this will only be available if either HELP or SFSS is selected) This allows the HELP and SFSS to be calculated on the pre RESC / Sacrificed amount without affecting the Ordinary Tax. This option has been added to prevent Employees receiving a large Tax Bill at the End of the Financial Year.
